What is egobytes and what does it do?
egobytes (formerly JRTEC) is a custom software studio with a team in Costa Rica and Chile. We build web systems, mobile apps, electronic invoicing, API integrations and artificial intelligence for companies across Latin America. Every project starts from your real workflows, not a template.
Where do you work from and who do you build for?
We have a team in Heredia (Costa Rica) and Calama (Chile), and we work remotely with clients across Latin America. We help SMBs, entrepreneurs, schools, occupational health centers, accountants and teams that need to move from spreadsheets and WhatsApp to a reliable cloud system.
Do you do electronic invoicing in Costa Rica and Chile?
Yes. For Costa Rica we have FacBox, our e-invoicing platform up to date with the tax authority (Hacienda v4.4): issuing, receiving, API and an offline app. For Chile we built BHPro, an API to issue Boletas de Honorarios. We also integrate invoicing with your POS, ecommerce or ERP.
Do you develop mobile apps?
Yes, we build mobile apps in Flutter: one codebase for Android and iOS, with native performance and native integrations (camera, GPS, notifications, payments). We take you all the way to publishing on the App Store and Google Play.
Do you work with artificial intelligence and chatbots?
Yes. We build AI chatbots and assistants that answer with your business's real information using RAG (no hallucinations), plus multilingual transcription, vector databases and process automation. One example is TUbot, an AI assistant for teachers deployed in Mexico, Peru and Senegal.
Do you have your own products or only custom development?
Both. Beyond custom software, we have our own products in production: ColeManager (school management), GesLaboral (medical centers and occupational health) and FacBox (electronic invoicing in Costa Rica).
